Beyonce Knowles Woman Of The Year By Billboard Magazine
Singer and actress Beyoncé Knowles will be accepting Billboard Magazine’s Woman of the Year Award at the 2009 Billboard Women in Music Event, taking place on October 2 in New York City. She should be because she is a singer, dancer and actress. The singer has enjoyed another year of excellent successes after last year, with smash hit songs Single Ladies and If I Were a Boy, a number one album, a sold-out world tour. Then to top it all off invited to sing at US President Barack Obama’s inauguration this year. Beyonce is multi-platinum artist and a multi-talented woman who clearly embodies the qualities of excellence and achievement that the Billboard is looking for in the women of the year. At only the age of only 27 Beyonce has made many accomplishments all ready in a short period of time. She also goes by the name Sasha Fierce. Beyonce said in a statement that the name Sasha Fierce is the name of the persona she adopts when she performs onstage.”I have someone else that takes over when it’s time for me to work and when I’m on stage, this alter ego that I’ve created that kind of protects me and who I really am.” Well done Miss Beyonce Knowles you deserve this award because you are super talented women.
